wow this summer has been going fast! We are sure keeping ourselves busy and enjoying the beautiful weather we finally got.
Since we moved we have:
-Been going to swimming lessons 2 times a week. Kason is not old enough to do lessons alone so him and I go together and we swim. The teacher is not as good as i would like but she did help us the first few times we were there. Its super cheap at the public pool in bremerton (which they are closing due to budget cuts! BOOO) so Kason will not be able to take lessons there when he turns 3 like i had hoped for!
But he is doing AMAZINGLY well! He LOVES to go under the water. He will hold on my back and i will swim around and go under for a few seconds and back up and back down and he just laughs and loves it. He also can swim a few feet alone. But he does SUPER well with a noodle and will swim the whole pool with me by himself! YAY!
-We go to playgroups once a week with gals from church. I love our ward SO SO much! Kason loves all his little friends and they play and play all afternoon for hours. Its nice to get out and enjoy the weather and have picnics!
-Free movies! The regal cinemas have free movies each week and we go to them when we can. Kason is doing much better in movies and loves to sit and watch them now.
-READING! Holy cow! Kason is a book worm! he will sit and look at books for hours and loves LOVES me to read to him! His absolute favorite books are DR. Seuss! We have 9 now (our goal is to get all of them by his b-day, i find them at value village for 69cents! score) We have been participating in the libraries summer reading program. Kids read or get read to for 10 hours and they get a free book, ticket to the kitsap fair, and entered in a drawing. Well we finished that and they said if we complete it again (another 10hours) he gets to go to a special party for kids that do 20 hours. Well we are 30minutes from that goal (which we will finish tomorrow) so im excited for Kason to have fun at the library!
-Seattle Trips. We have gone to Seattle twice since moving to Bremerton. Kason and I hop on a bus and then on the ferry. Kason LOVES the bus and the BIG BOAT as he calls it. He also tells everyone he fixes the boat.. lol. We spent a day in July with Clara and the kids before they moved to NC. (the family i use to nanny) and then last week we joined Amy and the kids (my sister) at the science center. Kason absoultly loved it! He also got to ride the monorail which was tons of fun. He loves to watch Chuggington (a train show on preschool disney) and calls trains Chuggingtons. He told Logan he road a "Chuggington in the sky" and was super excited about it!!
-He has been talking up a storm. I have gotten several comments from strangers telling me how well he talks for his age :) he is a chatter box (logan claims its from the Cline side lol)
-As mentioned Kason LOVES Dr. Seuss and LOVES the Cat in the Hat movie (the new one from 03 i think?) anywho i asked him if he wanted a Mickey Mouse party (loves him too) or a Cat movie party (what he calls cat in the hat- cat movie) and he choose Cat movie. The next day he randomly asked me if he can have a Dr. Seuss party! Im all for it! i have many ideas and its going to be super fun and awesome! yay
-As you can see we have been a bit busy and loving summer in the city this year. We do miss the farm life too though. Kason has missed being able to play outside and run around everywhere instead of having to drive to parks to do so, but its nice we do have a small playground at our apartments though!
-ALSO! i am going to be doing a flea market type thing this saturday in Tumwater selling my jewlery and hopefully some sewing stuff. I'm sharing a booth with a great friend of mine who restores furniture and sews too! super excited! i think it will be tons of fun! yay.
-We got callings at church a few weeks back. Logan and I are both nursery leaders! Its actually alot of fun and i really like us doing it together. We have about 13-20 kids depending on the sunday. 18months-3 yrs! I wasnt sure about being in there with Kason. He has always done so well without us and with us i didnt want him getting jealous with us being with/holding other kids and playing with them, but he is great and plays with the other kids and doesnt hang on us!
well thats all i can think of right now... i have pictures to post.. hopefully i will be able to do that soon.

Dentist Trip
Back in the start of June Kason had his second dentist appointment, his first he was only 18months old, so i was excited for this one because he knew more and understood alot more of what was going on.
he did great and opened his mouth after bribes of toys from the cool treasure chest! no cavities and everything looked great! yay!!
he got two toothbrushes which he loves. One i bought which is electric and its a firetruck it was only 5 bucks at the dr. office so i sprung for it :) and the other is just bright colors. He loves to brush his own teeth and not let me do it, so the electric one is nice so i can get in and out quick and get a good job of it! yay

Fair rides
in the beginning of June Shelton, wa had Forest Festival so i decided to take Kason and let him ride a couple rides, he loved it of course.
i went ahead and let him pick a few to ride, of course he picked the quads right away and then an airplane ride. It was great to see him so happy and proud of himself! He loved sitting all by himself like a big kid and waving as he went by!

Anniversary campout!
Each year for our anniversary we go camping.
We have done this since our 2nd anniversary and will continue it, we really enjoy the time out in the middle of nowhere just us.
We are trying to go to a new place each year so this year we went to this year we went to Grayland beach state park. Its near west port. it was great! the weather was to be horrible and we were not too sure about it but we went and it actually wasn't bad. it was cold at night and rained but during the day it was breezy and sunny!
Kason LOVES the beach and it was only a small walk from our campsite.
we explored West port and went out for dinner to a yummy place for lunch/dinner.
Then we walked down on the fishing boat docks and feed seagulls and seals! they were so close it was crazy!! Kason loved it and had a great time.
i really cannot believe its been 5 YEARS! crazy!! its been alot of ups and downs, full of love laughter and tears, but through it all there is nothing i would have changed. I LOVE YOU LOGAN!
they kept swimming by, i think they wanted food like fish and not the frys we had lol
the seals were so close to the docks it was crazy!! i never been this close to them before
our happy family
it really was beautiful on the beach, cold though!
The momma seals bring their babies up to the beach and leave them for days while they go hunt for food. I think its the park rangers or volunteers or someone official come and rope off the seal so no one can harm it and get ran over or something. the momma will come back in a few days and bring the baby back. i zoomed WAY in to get this beautifully blurry picture (yes its alive)

alot to catch up on
So i know its been a long time since my last post, but believe me alot has happened and ive been so busy!!
in the middle of June we made the decision to move out of Matlock and closer to Logan's work in Bremerton. We stayed with my Grandpa and Grandma Martinson for 2 weeks and then got into a small apartment 5 minutes from logans work in a great community called Manette. We actually really like it here alot. We decided to only get a 1 bedroom (about 650sq) to cut down on costs n such because our plan is to be out late this fall and be moving in our own home! so we are hoping on that.
So i am finally able to load pictures and everything and do some posts so here is for some overload on posts!

Kason at 2.5
i never really realized or even thought about how much a child can grow in just 6 months.. in the first six months of life a child can learn to smile, sit, crawl, roll over, laugh, hold things, hold a bottle, find their binky, play, etc. etc. so why does it amaze me everytime Kason grows in leaps and bounds? this post is pretty much for myself to remember Kason at this age, and i have to say so far one of my favorite stages. its tough, but he is absorbing so much each day, its an amazing thing to watch.
-Kason facts-
-He is a Ham. He loves attention and is really great at hamming it up for people and the camera
-He plays shy. He wont talk infront of people and sometimes hides behind Logan or myself. He usually does warm up after a bit.
-He is attached to his beloved bankit dar or in translation Star Blanket. This is not a baby blanket of his.. its a large blanket (bit enough for an adult to cover them selfs while watching tv etc.) it was given to me by a former boss's mother. Its snowmans on one side and stars on the other.. it was one random day MONTHS ago Kason asked for the Dar Bankit.. and since he is attached, doesnt sleep with out it and when he gets upset or over whelmed he needs the blanket.
-He recently has gotten into Thomas the Train and Mickey Mouse Play House
-Still like the wiggles, maybe a little less than before
-Will watch tv for about a 30 min. stretch...
-Has been into cuddling this past month.. this is not normal for Kason so i have been soaking it up... he has not really cuddled unless sick since 6 months.. seriously.
-Drinks from normal cups usually, sippy cups in cars or running about the house
-favorite animals are cows and bunnies.
-Rides one of the cows at our house
-Loves trains and cars and will play on his car carpet for quiet sometime.
-wears a 2t-3t clothes.. pants are ALWAYS long on the child.
-Potty trained, with a few pee accidents every once in a while and still trying on the pooping.
-Sleeps in a big bed.. he climbed out of his crib in Nov. 09 and since then has been in a big boy bed.. sometimes crawls into mommys and daddys bed.
-Figured out how to open baby locked doors (the ones with the covers you have to press on certian spots)
-He loves to try and figure things out.. always has, but more recently he will sit and take apart things and put them back together again.. with a very concentrated mood about him.. he is serious about it when he does it.
-talks in full sentences usually.. and about 50-60% of what he says strangers can understand.. usually.
-Doesnt say his L's, his V's are B's and sometimes R's come out funny
-He likes to say everything is Orange or Blue.
-understands what Big and Little is
-knows that two is more than one and always wants two of everything
-loves yogurt.. we will go through a large container of yogurt in less than a week.
-chocolate..he is a chocolate boy!
-He is smart. He just watches you do something, and then he can do it too. always has been a watcher.
-likes to laugh and laughs at his own little jokes all the time.
-LOVES the bunnies at home, but absoulty adores Pepper (my moms rabbit)
-Loves to do things for mommy (helping with laundry, letting the dogs in and out, picking up stuff etc. etc.)
-Stubborn. the most stubborn child EVER
-loves to color, paint, anythign creative... i wonder where he gets that?
-When he wants me to do something and i dont do it, he will grab my hand and try to make my hand do it (like open something etc.)
-loves the water and loves to swim, he is a fish
-loves to go to nursery at church
-loves to plays with his cousins and friends
-likes to jump on the trampoline at my parents house
-whenever he see's the McDonalds symbol (the golden arches) he yells out CHICKEN mommy, that is what he eats there chicken nuggets, but seriously we do not go there often.. like maybe 1-2 times a month... crazy boy
-picks up on things quickly and remembers things pretty well.
-can through a royal trantrum when things are doing going his way
-when he is mad or frusterated he bites his blanket.
-has to sleep with his Mickey Mouse stuffy.
Over all Kason is a bright funny little man. He loves his Papa's and his MaMa's and adores his Daddy. He is amazing and i could never imgain our life with out him. I am glad that he surprised us when he did and that we had him when we did. He is one special amazing little boy and i cant wait to see what he does in life.

RS birthday dinner
on March 25th our ward celebrated the Birthday of the Relief Society. In our ward i am the Relief Society Acitivty Leader.. and i LOVE it! this was our second activity with me being the leader and it was a HUGE one! a big dinner with a program.. well i could never have done it with out all the help, so EVERYONE who helped THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! seriously THANKS!
our theme was pioneer sisters.. and since i had been staying at my moms, the theme was brought on from all her neat things around the house... and she let me use them for the dinner, so THANK YOU MOM!! everything turned out wonderful!

each table had a different mini quilt... i made 5 and they turned out so wonderful!
the cake! i learned a good lesson though.. do not decorate a cake at midnight while watching "whos line is it anyways" good thing those swirls are to look unique.. i was laughing so hard...
yum
for the cup cake stand i used 3 wooden plates my mom had with a small vase for the bottom thing to hold up the next plate and then a small glass to hold up the top plate
each table had flowers on them in mason jars with fabric tied around
we took a rope and tied it from one side of the gym to the other and used clothes pins and hung up quilts like they were drying
i put the forks and spoons in enamle cup things
more of the quilts
i got the flowers at safeway for cheap!! yay!

time for change
it was time for me to have some change... with our tax return we each took some money out for ourselves. i used all mine for a complete new wardrobe and i LOVE my new look.. it just needed one thing.. NEW HAIR!! i got my hair done last march by a wonderful friend of my sister in Puyallup.. she is amazing i tell you! i loved my hair, but i let it grow out and the color fade. Its been a year so i HAD to get something done with it...
so here is a before picture.. longer with the layers grown out.. i actually liked the longer layers... but the color was driving me nuts.. i wanted something DARKER and BOLDER...

BEFORE
AFTER! we went dark dark brown with blonde highlights and my fav. violet red pieces here adn there through out my hair.. I LOVE IT

i love that i went dark and i really wanted some splash of color but wanted it to still be church appropriate. next time i may do a little MORE color lol
but i LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! thanks Tiffany!

bath tub paint!!
Kason LOVES to paint
Kason LOVES to take baths
so when i found this recipe
we had to try it. It was super easy and fun and Kason LOVED IT! my only complaint is that the paint stung his eyes when they accidently got in them.. also it was ALOT of soap.. i made 4 colors so that was 1cup of dish soap... all went down the bathtub drain... and that soap ment bubbles coming out of the toliet downstairs... whoops.. so the next night i made two colors... and i halfed the recipe.. it was the perfect ammount for just Kason...
next time we make it im going to use kids soap and see how that works instead of dish soap.
Here are pictures from our first try-

-sorry the pictures are in reverse order.. blogger hates me today--my revised recipe-
you will need a small container (muffin tins or small bowls)
1TBS cornstarch
1/8 cup dish soap
3 drops food coloring
1TBS water
step 1- put cornstarch in container
step 2- add soap and food coloring to cornstartch and mix until smooth
step 3- add water and mix
step 4- enjoy!
what i really LOVE about this recipe is that it DOES NOT STAIN (well im not sure about grout) and you just wipe the tub and walls clean and the shower looks brand new!!!
enjoy!

spring please come soon
last week we had BEAUTIFUL weather.. no rain, and around 60 degrees.. it was wonderful.. we were outside everyday, went to parks, had playdates, had friends over for a picnic, went to my brother's for a BBQ, went on walks... now this week.. its rainy and yucky and cold. i hate nice weather like last week around this time of year, ONLY because its a teaser.. spring is not here yet.... oh well it will come soon.
last friday i had two friends over and their kiddos.. we had a picnic and made crafts and played played played all afternoon. KASON LOVED IT!!!

i adore this picture
swing monkey swing!!
Kason loves the swings and now is on a big boy swing.. he doesnt go as fast so he still likes the littler swings that buckle, then he can go HIGH and FAST!
